Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Arsenal could line up for Sunday's Premier League London derby against Crystal Palace.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been dealt a double defensive injury blow ahead of Sunday's Premier League London derby versus Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners were knocked out of the Europa League by Sporting Lisbon in the last 16 on Thursday, where Takehiro Tomiyasu and William Saliba both came off with first-half injuries.

Tomiyasu left the ground on crutches and could be set for another spell on the sidelines, while Saliba's back problem is not thought to be as serious but could also keep him sidelined here.

Mohamed Elneny and Eddie Nketiah will welcome Saliba and Tomiyasu into the infirmary, but the latter was always expected to drop out for Ben White, while Rob Holding should deputise for Saliba.

Aaron Ramsdale and Gabriel Magalhaes will hold their spots in the backline, but Oleksandr Zinchenko played the full 120 minutes on Thursday and may now earn a rest as Kieran Tierney comes back in.

Jorginho and Fabio Vieira can also expect to make way for Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard, but Granit Xhaka - who opened the scoring in the second leg - is unlikely to be afforded any respite.

Gabriel Jesus came through the first half unscathed on Thursday night, but the striker is seemingly not ready for two starts in quick succession, so Leandro Trossard can feel confident of coming back in.

Reiss Nelson will also make way for Bukayo Saka, while Gabriel Martinelli - who penalty-shootout miss sent Arsenal out of Europe - should not be demoted as he seeks an immediate re-injection of confidence.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Ramsdale; White, Holding, Gabriel, Tierney; Odegaard, Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Trossard, Martinelli
