Scottie Scheffler cements his place at the top of the World Golf Rankings with victory at the RBC Heritage, but who are the other biggest movers in the standings?

Scottie Scheffler has continued his incredible dominance on the PGA Tour with victory at the RBC Heritage.

Bad weather on Sunday forced a Monday finish, but with the world number one holding a four-shot lead with three holes to play, the end result was a foregone conclusion.

Although Scheffler went on to bogey the last, the American would prevail by three shots to secure his fourth victory in five tournaments, with his other outing being runner-up.

The recently-crowned Masters champion finished ahead of Sahith Theegala, who earned second on his own ahead of Wyndham Clark and Patrick Cantlay.

Which players made progress up the World Golf Rankings?

While Scheffler now sits more than double the amount of ranking points ahead of second-placed Rory McIlroy, there were more significant movers down the rankings.

Clark is the new world number three - his highest ranking to date - and Ludvig Aberg has also progressed up to sixth, also the Swede's highest-ever rating.

Theegala has improved five places from 17th to 12th having posted his fourth top 10 in seven starts, while J.T. Poston has progressed from 47th to 38th courtesy after his tied-fifth at the RBC Heritage.

Having won the Corales Puntacana Championship, Billy Horschel has continued his resurgence, improving 19 places from 84th to 65th position.

Which players dropped down the World Golf Rankings?

Xander Schauffele has dropped down from third to fifth, even having posted six top-25 finishes in a row, and Viktor Hovland is now seventh having started last week in sixth.

Matthew Fitzpatrick and Cameron Young have both gone down to 14th and 16th place respectively, while LIV representative Brooks Koepka has dropped three places from 33rd to 36th spot.

Corey Conners, Adam Scott and Cameron Smith are notable names to lose their places in the world's top 50.
