Harry Kane's absence from pre-season Tottenham Hotspur training is due to self-isolation following his return from the Bahamas, according to a report.

Harry Kane has failed to report back for Tottenham Hotspur training due to self-isolation rules, according to a report.

The England captain was due to report back to Spurs' training complex on Monday morning for pre-season coronavirus testing but supposedly did not arrive amid links with Manchester City.

Kane is also understood to have failed to turn up on Tuesday morning as well, and a recent report claimed that Tottenham were preparing to dish out a 'significant' fine following his actions.

The striker's absence was rumoured to have been transfer-related as he seeks to push through an exit, but according to the Daily Mail, Kane missed training due to coronavirus self-isolation measures.

The report claims that the 28-year-old has just returned following a family holiday in the Bahamas and could be back in training this weekend, although his stance on a move away from the club has not changed.

Daniel Levy is understood to want £160m in order to sanction Kane's sale, whereas Man City are not prepared to go higher than £120m while they also attempt to get a deal for Jack Grealish over the line.
