SV Darmstadt 98 sign former Chelsea defender Slobodan Rajkovic

Darmstadt complete the signing of former Chelsea defender Slobodan Rajkovic on a deal until the summer of 2017.

Ex-Chelsea defender Slobodan Rajkovic has secured a move to SV Darmstadt 98.

The 26-year-old had been without a club since the end of last season when he was released by Hamburg.

However, he has now returned to the game at the Merck-Stadion am Bollenfalltor, where he has signed a contract until June 2017.

"I am very happy to now be here in Darmstadt. I've already looked at the last games and was very impressed with the team," he told the club's official website.

The centre-back joined Chelsea in 2006, but work permit issues meant that he never played a competitive game for the Premier League side.
