F1 holds off for now on regulating AI use, says Domenicali

Formula 1 is currently unable to regulate the increasing use of artificial intelligence by teams, says F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali.

As AI technology rapidly advances globally, top F1 teams have quickly adopted it to enhance their performance.

AI and machine learning are now integral in designing cars, developing race strategies, and analyzing the vast amounts of data collected from on-track sensors.

According to Ferrari's machine learning engineer, Luca Bortolotti, teams even use AI to scrutinize onboard footage of rival cars.
