Unai Emery brushes aside latest Neymar transfer rumours

Unai Emery insists that Neymar will not be going anywhere at the end of the season, despite growing talk of a possible switch to Real Madrid or former club Barcelona.

Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery has reiterated that Neymar remains part of the club's long-term plans, amid fresh reports linking the forward with a move back to Spain.

Following months of speculation that he is wanted by Real Madrid in the summer, the Brazil international is now said to want to rejoin former club Barcelona.

In the wake of the rumours, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi flew to South America to hold talks with Neymar, who could miss the rest of the campaign with a foot injury.

Emery insists that nothing has changed regarding the world's most-expensive player's future at the Parc des Princes, however, telling reporters at Tuesday's presser: "I've talked about [the Madrid rumours] for months and my opinion has not changed.

"The PSG project is very solid. The president went to Brazil to be with Neymar. For me, it is clear that the project is solid with a player like Neymar. I spoke with [sporting director] Antero [Henrique], they are in Brazil to visit Neymar after his operation."

Barcelona pair Ivan Rakitic and Philippe Coutinho have both admitted this week that they would like to see Neymar return to Camp Nou.
