Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly banned from selling Neymar by the Emir of Qatar.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly been banned from selling Neymar by the Emir of Qatar.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has told PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi that the Brazilian forward must not leave the club, despite continued interest from Real Madrid.

Los Blancos are allegedly eyeing a move for Neymar, whom they see as a long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, although future bids for the 26-year-old could now be ruled out.

Neymar, who moved from Barcelona to the French capital last summer in a £198m deal, has scored 19 goals in 20 Ligue 1 starts for Unai Emery's side.

The winger was ruled out ahead of PSG's Champions League defeat against Madrid with an ankle injury, however, with no date set for his return to action.
