Ian Holloway eyes potential moves for Queens Park Rangers players

Millwall manager Ian Holloway indicates that he could attempt to loan several Queens Park Rangers players that don't feature in the plans of boss Harry Redknapp.

Millwall manager Ian Holloway has admitted that he could attempt to use his relationship with Queens Park Rangers to try to strengthen his first-team squad.

QPR are expected to make a number of additions over the summer after earning promotion to the Premier League, and Holloway, who has previously played for and managed the Loftus Road outfit, has hinted that he will be attempting to loan any player that doesn't feature in Harry Redknapp's plans.

The 51-year-old told the South London Press: "Hopefully, our connections might help. I am delighted for QPR and Harry – they took fantastic risks with how much they spent in the Championship. I wish them good luck.

"They will be just one of the clubs with a workforce that is too big and who have to pare it down. Harry won't be giving away his best ones, but there may be some of the age and wage that Marc [Bircham] might be able to borrow."

Holloway was appointed as manager of the Lions in January, and six wins from his 22 matches in charge were enough to retain the club's Championship status for another year.
