Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly bracing themselves for an offer from London rivals Chelsea for Harry Kane.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly braced themselves for a bid from Chelsea for Harry Kane.

Kane's future in North London is currently the centre of widespread speculation, with his contract set to expire in June 2024.

The 29-year-old is expected to hold talks with the club in the summer, but if the two parties are unable to reach an agreement then Spurs could risk losing their all-time record goalscorer on a free transfer next year.

While Spurs are determined not to sell the England international, the uncertain situation has alerted interested clubs.

Manchester United are supposedly prepared to offer Kane a £300,000 a week salary to make the move to Old Trafford this summer.

Chelsea have also been linked, and according to talkSPORT, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is bracing himself for a bid from their London rivals.

The Blues are expected to strengthen their forward line ahead of the 2023-24 season, and Kane appears to be on their radar.

The report claims that the impending arrival of former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea's head coach is likely to heighten their interest.

Pochettino is expected to ask Chelsea to explore the possibility of signing the Englishman if he is appointed manager of the West London club.

Kane played 242 games under Pochettino at Spurs, and the pair have a positive relationship after working together for five years.

Completing a transfer for Kane could prove difficult though, as Levy is reluctant to sell to a fellow Premier League side.

Kane has also been linked with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain but is keen to remain in England as he looks to break Alan Shearer's Premier League all-time goal-scoring record.

Having racked up 207 goals in the top flight, Kane is closing in on Shearer's tally of 260 Premier League goals.

The England captain has scored 26 goals and provided five assists in 44 competitive appearances for Spurs this season.

Tottenham, who are sitting in fifth position in the Premier League table, are currently preparing for Sunday's away meeting with Liverpool.
