Raymond Domenech urges Morgan Schneiderlin to move to help international career

Former France boss Raymond Domenech urges Morgan Schneiderlin to move on from Southampton this summer to help build on his international career with Les Bleus.

Former France coach Raymond Domenech has urged Morgan Schneiderlin to leave Southampton and join Manchester United to improve his standing at international level.

The French midfielder is thought to be on Louis van Gaal's radar this summer and Domenech believes that the move would be an important step if Schneiderlin wants to secure a place in his country's starting XI.

"For him, [Manchester United] is a good move," said Domenech, according to the Daily Star.

"If he wants to be with the French national team, then he has to be in this Champions League. But if he stays at Southampton no luck."

Schneiderlin has made nine appearances for his country so far in his career.
