Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Partick Thistle play out goalless draw

Partick Thistle hold Inverness Caledonian Thistle to a goalless draw at Caledonian Stadium in the Scottish Premiership.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Partick Thistle are both still looking for a first win of the league campaign after Partick denied the home side in their Scottish Premiership meeting at Caledonian Stadium this evening.

Mathias Pogba's header from a free kick was saved by Owain Fon Williams early on before Pogba was forced off through injury and replaced by Kris Doolan, who came close to scoring just before half time.

Just after the restart it was Caley's turn to go close when Dani Lopez fired a shot just wide from 20 yards, before a save from Fon Williams turned Steven Lawless's drive onto the crossbar.

The home side had two chances to take the lead when Andrea Mbuyi-Mutomb's effort was blocked and Danny Williams narrowly missed the top corner from the rebound.

Two fine saves from Partick goalkeeper Tomas Cerny then denied Williams and Inverness debutant Iain Vigurs, before Liam Lindsay saved the away side in injury time with a clearing header after Mbuyi-Mutombo had finally beaten the Czech stopper.
