Espanyol put three past Real Betis, Marco Asensio provides three assists

Espanyol score three goals in a comfortable 3-0 victory over Pepe Mel's Real Betis, as Marco Asensio provides all of the assists for Sergio Gonzalez's side.

Espanyol recorded a comfortable victory over Pepe Mel's Real Betis at the Benito Villamarin Stadium as Marco Asensio provided three assists.

Enzo Roco opened the scoring after just four minutes as he latched on to Asensio's through ball before firing past Betis keeper Antonio Adan.

It was Asensio who provided the assist for Espanyol's second soon after half time, as he found former Manchester City striker Felipe Caicedo who struck his third of the La Liga campaign.

Asensio capped a fine creative display minutes later as he sent Victor Sanchez through for Espanyol's third.

Vincenzo Rennella scored an 89th-minute consolation goal for Pepe Mel's side.

Espanyol jump ahead of 10th-placed Betis to eighth position in the La Liga table.
