Wolverhampton Wanderers allegedly agree terms with Paris Saint-Germain to sign youngster Noha Lemina, the brother of midfielder Mario Lemina.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly on the brink of signing Paris Saint-Germain youngster Noha Lemina.

Despite parting ways with a number of players - the majority on loan - during January, Wolves have been unable to add to their senior ranks.

Head coach Gary O'Neil has been open about the club's pursuit of a new striker, yet acknowledged last week that the West Midlands outfit were unable to afford their preferred targets.

Whether Wolves acquire a senior forward before Thursday's 11pm deadline remains to be seen, with Chelsea forward Armando Broja continuing to be linked with a switch to Molineux.

However, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Wolves are most likely to get a deal over the line for Lemina, the younger brother of midfielder Mario.

In 13 months at Wolves, Mario has established himself as one of the club's key men, contributing four goals and one assist from his 39 appearances in all competitions.

With less than 18 months left on his contract, Wolves will soon have to try to negotiate fresh terms with the 30-year-old, but they will be confident of eventually agreeing an extension if they sign his sibling.

Wolves are said to successfully agreed a loan deal with their PSG counterparts which would come with a €2m option to buy in the summer.

Although the report adds that personal terms are yet to be agreed with the player and agent, the indication is that the 18-year-old will soon be confirmed as a Wolves player.

The teenager - who earned seven caps for France Under-17s - is capable of playing in a number of creative midfield roles, a position that Wolves are arguably light in at this point.

Nevertheless, Lemina is short of first-team experience, his loan stint with Sampdoria earlier in the campaign being cut short after he played just 15 minutes in one outing in Serie B.

Lemina has been a regular in the PSG youth ranks, though, with four goals coming in seven UEFA Youth League appearances, as well as 12 strikes and five assists being contributed in 36 appearances for the Under-19s.

Should Noha complete a transfer to Wolves, the expectation is that he will start life in England in the academy setup with the opportunity to break into the first team later in the season.
