Ligue 1 club Monaco reportedly restart negotiations with Fulham over a deal for centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo.

Monaco have reportedly resumed talks with Fulham over a potential deal for Tosin Adarabioyo.

The centre-back has spent the last three years in West London, making 108 appearances in all competitions to help the Cottagers win promotion to the Premier League in the 2021-22 season and achieve a top-half Premier League finish last term.

Having entered the final 12 months of his contract, Adarabioyo has been linked with a move away from Craven Cottage ahead of Friday's transfer deadline.

Monaco have been pursuing a deal throughout the summer, but recent speculation suggested that there was little chance of a transfer being completed.

However, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Monaco are still hopeful of agreeing a deal after resuming negotiations with Fulham.

The Ligue 1 side are looking to complete the signing of Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun striker in the next 48 hours, before turning their full attention to securing Adarabioyo's services.

Despite signing Mohamed Salisu from Southampton, Monaco boss Adi Hutter is still determined to sign another central defender after Axel Disasi completed a move to Chelsea earlier this month.

While Monaco are believed to be optimistic of getting a deal over the line, they are facing competition for Adarabioyo's signature.

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the defender, and they have been in discussions over a deal that would see Adarabioyo and Dier move in opposite directions.

With Fulham keen to sign the England international, they would prefer to sell Adarabioyo to Ange Postecoglou's side.

The 25-year-old has also been linked with a move to Nice, who could step up their interest if Jean-Clair Todibo leaves the club

With Fulham preparing for Adarabioyo's departure, the Manchester City academy product trained separately from the first-team squad on Sunday.
