Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Saudi Arabia could line up for Saturday's 2022 World Cup Group C clash with Poland.

Off the back of their extraordinary win over Argentina, Herve Renard's impressive Saudi Arabia side will be looking to seal an unlikely early progression to the World Cup 2022 knockout stages with a win over Poland.

The South American side were only three games from achieving the longest unbeaten run in international football history, until the second-lowest ranked nation in the competition ended a sensational 36-game streak.

With a remarkable high press and incredible tenacity in the middle of the park, Saudi Arabia caught the eye even before scoring their historic quick-fire double, as they caught La Albiceleste offside 10 times in a high-risk defensive strategy.

Nonetheless, goals from Saleh Al-Shehri and a magnificent curling effort from Salem Al-Dawsari sealed an earth-shattering win, leaving them just one result from qualifying for the knockout stages of a World Cup for just the second time in their history.

To take on a Poland side desperate for points after a flat 0-0 draw with Mexico, we are not expecting too many changes from Renard, as he looks to ride the wave of optimism surrounding his giant-killing team.

Goalkeeper Mohamed Al-Owais will continue between the sticks following a fine five-save performance, while Yasir Al-Shahrani will unfortunately be replaced at left-back by Mohammed Al-Burayk, after undergoing jaw surgery following a serious collision in that Argentina win.

In the centre of the pitch, the impressive Mohamed Kanno should continue with the lively Abdulelah Al Malki, although captain Salman Al-Faraj could see his spot taken by Nawaf Al-Abed after his early substitution through injury.

Up front, the impressive goalscoring duo should continue up front, as the Green Falcons go in search of another famous scalp.

Saudi Arabia possible starting lineup: Al-Owais; Al-Burayk, Al-Boleahi, Al Tambakti, Abdulhamid; Al Malki, Kanno, Al-Abed; Al Dawsari, Al-Shehiri, Al Buraikan
