Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Paris Saint-Germain could line up for Sunday's Ligue 1 clash with Rennes.

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe should make his return to the starting lineup when the Ligue 1 champions travel to face Rennes at Roazhon Park on Sunday night.

The France attacker missed last weekend's 2-0 success over Angers in order to take a holiday to New York with close friend Achraf Hakimi, who was suspended for that game.

With Mbappe now back in training, Hugo Ekitike's spell in the team should come to an end, despite the 20-year-old impressing with four goals in his last five games in all tournaments.

As a result, Mbappe is set to reunite with the other two members of the fearsome trifecta in Lionel Messi - who netted PSG's second in their success over Angers - and Neymar for the first time since the World Cup.

Christophe Galtier is confident that Renato Sanches will recover from his latest injury blow to make himself available, but Marco Verratti picked up a thigh problem before the win over Angers and will need further assessment.

With Sanches likely to make the bench at best, Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz could once again be joined by Danilo Pereira, unless Verratti is able to make a miraculous recovery.

Hakimi's return from suspension will see the Moroccan come back in over Nordi Mukiele, while Juan Bernat deputises on the left as Nuno Mendes recovers from a thigh injury.

Presnel Kimpembe will also take a little while longer to fully heal from his Achilles problem, allowing Marquinhos and Sergio Ramos to partner up in front of Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Paris Saint-Germain possible starting lineup: Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Ramos, Bernat; Vitinha, Pereira, Ruiz; Messi; Mbappe, Neymar
