Paris Saint-Germain favourites to sign Brazilian midfielder Thiago Maia?

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to beat Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester United to the signing of Santos midfielder Thiago Maia.

Santos midfielder Thiago Maia has reportedly emerged as a top transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain.

Maia starred for Brazil at last summer's Olympic Games and although he is yet to make a senior appearance for the South Americans, it appears that PSG are ready to push forward with a bid for the 19-year-old.

According to Calciomercato, the Ligue 1 outfit will make an offer of £17m in an attempt to see off interest from some of their European rivals.

Juventus are also said to be preparing a bid for Maia but it has been claimed that it does not match the money that PSG have set aside for his signature.

It has been suggested that Chelsea and Manchester United are also interested but it is yet to be seen whether they will follow it up with a concrete offer.
