Borussia Dortmund are looking into the possibility of trebling Erling Braut Haaland's release clause in a new contract offer, according to a report.

Borussia Dortmund have explored the option of trebling Erling Braut Haaland's release clause in a new contract offer, according to a report.

The Norwegian's future is one of the most speculated in football as things stand, with a £67m release clause included in his current contract becoming active in the upcoming summer transfer window.

As a result, both Manchester City and Manchester United, as well as Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Barcelona, have all been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old.

However, according to Sport, Dortmund have offered their striker a new contract that would include a new release clause in excess of £200m, and would extend his stay in Germany until 2027.

The report does outline how Haaland is keen to leave BVB in June though, with his current employers pushing for an answer on his future over the next month.

Several injuries have restricted Haaland to just 14 Bundesliga appearances so far this campaign, although he has still managed to net 16 league goals and add five assists.
