Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up in Saturday's Premier League clash with Everton.

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to return to the Manchester United XI for Saturday's Premier League clash with Everton at Goodison Park.

The Portugal international missed out against Leicester City last weekend through illness but has been back in training with the 20-time English champions this week and should be in the starting side here.

Edinson Cavani (calf) and Mason Greenwood (club suspension) remain unavailable for the Red Devils, while Luke Shaw (leg), Scott McTominay (foot) and Raphael Varane (knock) have also been ruled out.

Head coach Ralf Rangnick may also decide to hand a spot in the final third of the field to Marcus Rashford following Paul Pogba's disappointing performance against Leicester.

However, McTominay's absence will likely see Pogba drop back into a midfield role here.

Rashford could play in a front three alongside Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho, with Fred and Pogba joining Bruno Fernandes in midfield at Goodison Park.

Harry Maguire played as the right-sided centre-back against the Foxes last time out and that is again expected to be the case here, with Victor Lindelof on the left.

Jesse Lingard was unwell before the clash with Leicester but should be available for selection here, having also been pictured in training earlier this week.

Anthony Elanga could be the player to drop out of the attack to allow Ronaldo and Rashford to start at Goodison Park.

Manchester United possible starting lineup: De Gea; Dalot, Maguire, Lindelof, Telles; Fernandes, Pogba, Fred; Rashford, Ronaldo, Sancho
