Luis Suarez believes that Antoine Griezmann can "add to the team" if he makes the switch from Atletico Madrid, while also welcoming renewed interest in Philippe Coutinho.

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has admitted that he would like to see "elite players" Philippe Coutinho and Antoine Griezmann make the move to Camp Nou.

Coutinho reportedly remains the Catalan giants' top target ahead of the January transfer window, five months after three bids were knocked back by Liverpool.

Interest has grown in Atletico Madrid ace Griezmann, meanwhile, with an £87m transfer already understood to have been agreed for the France international.

Suarez does not feel threatened by the possible big-money signing of Griezmann, though, and he would also welcome the arrival of Liverpool man Coutinho.

"Both Griezmann and Coutinho are elite players that are playing at the top level," he told RAC105. "They are where they are for a reason. They're both young and have long careers ahead of them. And Barca always want the best players.

"If you look at [Greizmann], at Atletico he needs to play with a No 9. He's not a fixed No. 9. Obviously, Griezmann would come here to add to the team and to help the side in the position that the coach wants him to play in."

Suarez made the move to Barcelona from Liverpool in 2014 for a fee of £75m.
