Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly not interested in becoming Newcastle United's new boss.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly not interested in becoming Newcastle United's new boss, should Steve Bruce get the sack.

Following the Magpies' £300m Saudi-backed takeover last week, it is expected that Bruce will be relieved of his duties before this weekend's Premier League encounter against Tottenham Hotspur.

Previous reports have suggested that several managers are in contention to replace the 60-year-old at St James' Park, including Graham Potter, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Antonio Conte.

Rodgers is another name who has been linked, however journalist John Percy of The Telegraph claims that the Northern Irishman has no interest in taking charge at Newcastle and is fully committed to Leicester.

The 48-year-old signed a contract extension at the King Power Stadium in December 2019, which sees him tied down until June 2025.

Rodgers has guided Leicester to successive fifth-place finishes in the last two Premier League campaigns and helped the Foxes win their first ever FA Cup last season.
