Tuesday's Championship predictions including Leicester City vs. Sheffield Wednesday

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Championship fixtures, including

Birmingham vs. Blackburn (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Four months on from being relieved of his duties in the Second City, John Eustace will take Blackburn Rovers to face his former employers Birmingham City on Tuesday night in the Championship.

Blues were dragged closer to an unlikely relegation dogfight following a loss at Sheffield Wednesday last time out, while Rovers defeated Stoke City at Ewood Park.

We say: Birmingham City 1-1 Blackburn Rovers

Birmingham will be happy to be back at St Andrew's following three-straight losses on the road, and Blues should be able to end their barren spell in front of the net.

Eustace will be desperate to get one over his former club on Tuesday night, but we believe that Blackburn will have to settle for a point.

Leicester vs. Sheff Weds (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Leicester City will be bidding to make it five straight wins in all competitions when they continue their Championship campaign at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night.

The Foxes are top of the Championship table, 11 points ahead of second-placed Southampton, while relegation-threatened Wednesday sit down in 23rd spot, five points from the safety of 21st position.

We say: Leicester City 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Wednesday will be aiming to make it successive wins in the Championship, but this is their toughest away match of the campaign. Leicester are flying towards the league title, and we are fully expecting the Foxes to secure another three points in routine fashion on Tuesday night.

Norwich vs. Watford (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Both looking to gain promotion back to the Premier League at the second attempt, Norwich City and Watford will lock horns at Carrow Road on Tuesday night as the Championship playoff race intensifies.

The Canaries managed a share of the points at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday afternoon, while the Hornets' worrying run of form continued against second-tier pacesetters Leicester City on the same day.

We say: Norwich City 2-1 Watford

Excluding tough trips to Anfield and Leeds United's Elland Road, Norwich have been in good form of late and will be confident of continuing their playoff charge on Tuesday.

Watford conclude a tricky trio of fixtures with a trip to East Anglia, and we believe that the Hornets will return to Hertfordshire empty-handed.

Rotherham vs. Hull City (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Basement side Rotherham United will be bidding to record just their fourth Championship victory of the campaign when they welcome Hull City to the New York Stadium on Tuesday night.

The hosts are bottom of the table on 19 points, while Hull sit up in seventh position, with the Tigers only two points behind sixth-placed Sunderland in the race to secure a playoff spot.

We say: Rotherham United 1-2 Hull City

Rotherham, despite their troubles this season, are capable of making this a tricky match for Hull. The Tigers have picked up two wins from their last three league games, though, and we are expecting the visitors to shade a close match on Tuesday to secure all three points.

Swansea vs. Leeds (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Bidding to make it seven-straight successes in the Championship, Premier League-chasing Leeds United will travel to South Wales where Swansea City lie in wait on Tuesday night.

The Swans achieved a landmark win at Hull City on Saturday afternoon, while the Whites of Yorkshire bulldozed their way to another second-tier maximum over lowly Rotherham United on the same day.

We say: Swansea City 1-2 Leeds United

Swansea were impressive during their 1-0 win over promotion-chasing Hull on the weekend, but the visit of Leeds will be a much sterner test for the Welsh side.

The Whites have the strength in depth at the top end of the pitch to outscore opponents, and we feel that Farke's men will make it seven-straight wins in the Championship on Tuesday.

Bristol City vs. Southampton (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Southampton will be aiming to make it five straight wins in the Championship when they head to Ashton Gate on Tuesday evening to tackle Bristol City.

The Saints are currently second in the table, 11 points behind the leaders Leicester City with a game in hand, while Bristol City sit 13th, six points off the playoff positions in the second tier of English football.

We say: Bristol City 1-2 Southampton

Southampton will be eyeing their 20th Championship win of the campaign on Tuesday evening, but it will be tough against a solid Bristol City outfit. It would not be a surprise to see the points shared in this match, but we just have a feeling that the Saints will shade it to secure a vital three points.

West Brom vs. Cardiff (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Both harbouring ambitions of reaching the Premier League via the lottery of the playoffs, West Bromwich Albion will do battle with Cardiff City at the Hawthorns on Tuesday in the Championship.

The Baggies shared the spoils with promotion rivals Ipswich Town in a four-goal thriller on the weekend, while the Bluebirds' home troubles continued with a defeat to Preston North End.

We say: West Bromwich Albion 1-0 Cardiff City

West Brom have an impressive record of clean sheets at The Hawthorns, and they should be confident of continuing that trend against a goal-shy Cardiff on Tuesday.

The Bluebirds could be lifted by an influx of new signings and the returning Ramsey into their XI in this one, but we still believe that the visitors will return to Wales empty-handed.
