Istanbulspor will look to avoid a sixth consecutive defeat in the Turkish Super Lig when they play host to Hatayspor on Saturday.
While both sides are currently in the relegation zone, Hatayspor have only lost two of their last six league matches.
Match preview
Istanbulspor are currently in 18th place with four points separating them from safety after losing their last five league matches.
They conceded three goals against Giresunspor last weekend despite taking an early lead through Valon Ethemi, and although Jetmir Topalli scored late on, Istanbulspor were unable to avoid a 3-2 defeat.
On Thursday, Istanbulspor had to come from two goals down against Etimesgut Belediyespor to progress to the fifth round of the Turkish Cup.
Goals from Topalli and Eduard Rroca ensured the contest was level after 90 minutes, before Mehmet Yesil scored in the 118th minute to claim a 3-2 victory.
Although they avoided a cup upset against the third-tier side, the midweek result represented the sixth straight game where Istanbulspor have conceded at least two goals, and they will need to improve defensively if they are to record a positive result on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Hatayspor began the season with one point from their opening six league matches, but they looked to have turned a corner in recent weeks.
In their last six games in the Turkish Super Lig, the visitors have collected 10 points, although they were denied a victory against Istanbul Basaksehir last weekend.
Although Bertu Yildirim's opener gave Hatayspor a narrow advantage, the second period yielded five goals, which initially saw Istanbul Basaksehir take a 2-1 lead.
Ayoub El Kaabi and Ze Luis both scored a goal apeice to turn the contest back in Hatayspor's favour, and although they seemed to be heading to victory, Serdi Gurler's 91st-minute equaliser ensured the contest ended in a 3-3 draw.
The result represented the third time Hatayspor have conceded three goals or more in their last four matches, although they will be looking for a resolute defensive performance against one of their relegation rivals.
Team News
Eslem Ozturk is ruled out for the hosts through injury, while Adi Mehremic is suspended after being sent off against
Giresunspor.
With Mehremic unavailable, Mehmet Yesil is expected to come into the starting lineup to partner Okan Erdogan in central defence.
Although he is still searching for his first goal of the season, Ibrahim Yilmaz is set to lead the line for Istanbulspor.
As for the visitors, they are without the services of Kevin Soni, who is ruled out through injury, while Christian Atsu is a doubt.
Burak Yilmaz could be brought into the defence to replace Ognjen Vranjes, who is suspended for an accumulation of yellow cards.
Saba Lobjanidze may come into the side to operate on the left flank, while Ze Luis could also be given a place in the starting lineup.
Istanbulspor possible starting lineup:
Jensen; Berber, Erdogan, Yesil, Yasar; Topalli, Rroca, Kabasakal, Sankaya, Ethemi; Yilmaz
Hatayspor possible starting lineup:
Kardesler; Corekci, Vranjes, Oksuz, Adekugbe; Aabid, Ergun, Ribeiro; El Kaabi, Lobjanidze, Ze Luis
We say: Istanbulspor 1-1 Hatayspor
While Istanbulspor have been beaten in their last five league games, Hatayspor have lost five of their six away matches in the Turkish Super Lig season this season, and as a result, we think both sides will be content with picking up a point apiece.
