Niklas Stark returns to the Germany team for Friday's Under-21 European Championship final against Spain, who are unchanged for the clash in Krakow.

Niklas Stark has returned to Germany Under-21s' first XI for Friday's Under-21 European Championship final against Spain Under-21s, who are unchanged for the clash in Krakow.

Stark missed the semi-final against England Under-21s after picking up an injury in the warm-up, but the 22-year-old returns to the heart of the defence alongside Marc-Oliver Kempf, meaning that Gideon Jung drops to the bench.

Mitchell Weiser is also back in the team in place of Davie Selke, who has not been deemed fit enough to start the showpiece event.

As for Spain, La Roja are unchanged from their semi-final victory over Italy Under-21s.

As a result, Marco Asensio and Gerard Deulofeu will both support lone forward Sandro Ramirez once again, while Jonny keeps out Jose Gaya at left-back.

Denis Suarez is made to settle for a spot on the bench, meanwhile, due to the form of Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos.

Germany Under-21s: Pollersbeck; Toljan, Stark, Kempf, Gerhardt; Arnold, Meyer, Haberer; Gnabry, Philipp, Weiser
Subs: Schwabe, Vlachodimos, Anton, Jung, Dahoud, Selke, Platte, Klunter, Kehrer, Amiri, Oztunali, Kohr

Spain Under-21s: Kepa; Bellerin, Mere, Vallejo, Jonny; Ceballos, Saul, Llorente; Asensio, Sandro, Deulofeu
Subs: Blanco, Pau, Gaya, Mayoral, Suarez, Merino, Williams, Odriozola, Oyarzabal, Soler, Hernandez, Gonzalez
