Tottenham Hotspur are the front-runners to sign Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet, who is set to leave in the summer after falling out of favour according to reports.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The centre-back, who joined the Catalan club from Sevilla in 2018, is expected to leave in the summer after dropping down the pecking order at Camp Nou.

With Barcelona keen to move Lenglet on, they are currently searching for a club that are interested in signing the Frenchman.

According to Sport, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in bringing the 26-year-old to North London, although they are only open to signing Lenglet on a loan deal with a possible non-mandatory option to buy.

With the World Cup taking place in November, Lenglet is said to be eager to play regular football, but his salary could be an issue, with his current deal exceeding €6m (£5.1m) per year.

Chelsea have also reportedly shown an interest, but that has cooled off, leaving Tottenham as the front-runner for the Barcelona man's signature.

Lenglet, whose current contract runs until 2026, has played 156 games for Barcelona, scoring seven goals in that period.
