Romelu Lukaku reportedly has no intention of making any quick decisions on his long-term future at Chelsea.

Romelu Lukaku will reportedly not make any decision on his long-term future at Chelsea until the end of the season.

While the 28-year-old has netted 10 goals in all competitions this season, the forward has failed to make a lasting impact in the final third since his £97.5m arrival from Inter Milan last summer.

At the end of 2021, Lukaku acknowledged in a controversial interview that he was not overly happy with life at Stamford Bridge, and the Belgium international would have been left further frustrated on Tuesday night when he was dropped from the starting lineup for the Champions League clash with Lille.

Nevertheless, according to the Daily Mail, Lukaku is prepared to bide his time, rather than make any rash decisions over his future in West London.

In his absence against Lille, Kai Havertz impressed down the middle of the attack, producing a performance which may keep Lukaku on the substitutes' bench for Sunday's EFL Cup final.

Although Lukaku has a contract until 2026, Chelsea may be open to a sale if any club is willing to get close to the fee that they shelled out ahead of this campaign.
