Everton are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho during this summer's transfer window.

Everton are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho this summer.

The Brazil international has spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan with Bayern Munich, contributing nine goals and eight assists in 32 appearances for the Bundesliga giants.

The German champions are allegedly unlikely to sign the attacker on a permanent deal, though, and Barca are said to have placed him on the market for £80m.

Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for the 27-year-old, but according to Sport, Everton are currently lining up an offer for a player who previously turned out for their bitter rivals Liverpool.

According to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, Coutinho's representatives are attempting to negotiate a move to the Premier League this summer, with Leicester City also showing an interest.

The South American has found it difficult to settle at Camp Nou since arriving in a £142m move from Liverpool in the middle of the 2018-19 campaign.
