Despite their transfer ban, Chelsea are reportedly aiming to beat Premier League rivals Liverpool to the signature of Exeter City starlet Ben Chrisene.

Chelsea are reportedly hoping to beat Premier League rivals Liverpool to the signature of Exeter City starlet Ben Chrisene.

The England youth midfielder made his debut for the Devon club in their Carabao Cup tie with Coventry City earlier this month, aged just 15.

The Sun reports that despite their transfer ban, the Blues are determined to add the Exeter record-breaker to their ranks and have invited him to train with them.

The youngster has trained previously with Liverpool and Southampton, while German giants Bayern Munich are also believed to be interested in him.

Chelsea have form for signing young players from the Grecians, having bought Welsh defender Ethan Ampadu, who is on loan at RB Leipzig this season, back in July 2017.
