Real Betis ease past Malaga

Real Betis move closer to the European places with a comfortable 3-0 win at home to 10-man Malaga in La Liga.

Real Betis have edged closer to the European places with a 3-0 win at home to Malaga in La Liga.

Jorge Molina headed in from a corner after only two minutes to put Betis ahead before Mario nodded home another corner midway through the half to extend their lead.

Molina had the chance to make it 3-0 from the penalty spot in the 34th minute following Ignacio Camacho's handball, but his spot kick rattled the crossbar.

However, Betis netted again before the break as Dorlan Pabon converted at the second time of asking.

Malaga ended the game with 10 men when Camacho received his second yellow card of the contest on 66 minutes.
