Sunday's Eredivisie predictions including Ajax vs. Utrecht

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Eredivisie fixtures, including Ajax vs. Utrecht.

Ajax vs. Utrecht (Sunday, 1.30pm)

Ajax play host to FC Utrecht on Sunday afternoon knowing that only a win will do if they wish to retain hope of qualifying for next season's Champions League.

At a time when the home side sit five points adrift of second-placed PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie table, the visitors are in seventh after a two-match winning streak.

We say: Ajax 2-0 FC Utrecht

With Utrecht having built up a head of steam of late, this could prove to be a tricky encounter for Ajax when they are under pressure. However, rediscovering their goalscoring touch last time out can only benefit them, and we feel that the home side should run out the victors.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Emmen vs. Feyenoord (Sunday, 1.30pm)

Feyenoord head into their Eredivisie fixture at Emmen having already been crowned champions with two matches remaining.

However, the stakes are high for the home side, who sit in 16th position in the standings and need to better Excelsior's results over the next two matches to avoid a relegation playoff.

We say: Emmen 1-4 Feyenoord

Although Emmen will feel that they have a window of opportunity to shock the champions, their defensive record means that it remains unlikely. Feyenoord will want to finish the season with as many points as possible, and we are backing the visitors to cruise to victory on Sunday afternoon.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Excelsior vs. Sittard (Sunday, 1.30pm)

With their top-flight status currently hanging in the balance, SBV Excelsior welcome Fortuna Sittard to Van Donge & De Roo Stadion on Sunday in round 33 of the 2022-23 Eredivisie season.

Meanwhile, the away side travel to Rotterdam this weekend aiming to make a late push for a place in the top half as the campaigns nears its conclusion.

We say: SBV Excelsior 1-0 Fortuna Sittard

Excelsior have been defensively solid of late, and we can see them coming away from this weekend's affair with another clean sheet. That said, we can also see the hosts edging out the away side here, all but confirming their place in the Eredivisie next season.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Go Ahead Eagles vs. Volendam (Sunday, 1.30pm)

Off the back of contrasting results last time out, Go Ahead Eagles and FC Volendam square up against each other at De Adelaarshorst on Sunday afternoon.

Having suffered a narrow defeat in the reverse fixture earlier this season which ended in a 3-2 thriller, the away side will be looking to exact revenge on their hosts this weekend.

We say: Go Ahead Eagles 2-1 FC Volendam

Having conceded a combined 120 goals between themselves this term, neither Go Ahead Eagles nor Volendam will fancy their chances of recording a shut-out here. We anticipate an exciting and end-to-end clash with the hosts just about managing to secure the three points at the end of the 90 minutes.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Nijmegen vs. AZ (Sunday, 1.30pm)

AZ Alkmaar will be hoping to keep themselves in the hunt for Europa League qualification when they travel to the Goffertstadion to take on NEC this Sunday, in the latest round of Eredivisie fixtures.

Alkmaar are in fourth place, but third is within reach if Ajax slip up in their final two games, while Nijmegen are currently sitting in 10th.

We say: NEC 0-3 AZ Alkmaar

AZ Alkmaar are no longer in the Europa Conference League, meaning they will be fully focussed on trying to reach the Europa League via their final position in the Eredivisie, and we expect them to get the job done on Sunday.

NEC have totally fallen apart at completely the wrong stage of the season, and they have been very poor at home for quite some time, meaning it would not be a surprise if the visitors win by a comfortable margin.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

PSV vs. Heerenveen (Sunday, 1.30pm)

PSV Eindhoven are hosting the penultimate game of the Eredivisie season when they take on Heerenveen at the Philips Stadion on Sunday afternoon.

Feyenoord have already wrapped up the league title, but the hosts are looking to qualify for the Champions League, while the visitors will be hoping to keep themselves in a strong position to qualify for the Europa Conference League playoffs.

We say: PSV Eindhoven 4-0 Heerenveen

PSV Eindhoven have been fantastic at home all season, defeating Ajax 3-0 at the Philips Stadion in late April, and they are undefeated in front of their own fans since November.

As such, we expect a routine victory for the Red and Whites this weekend, which would confirm their place in the qualification round of the Champions League.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

RKC Waalwijk vs. FC Twente (Sunday, 1.30pm)

RKC Waalwijk will be looking to put on a show during their last home match of the Eredivisie season, with FC Twente visiting the Mandemakers Stadion on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts are still on for their best league finish in over a decade, whilst Twente are looking to make it three wins in a row in order to continue their impressive form.

We say: RKC Waalwijk 1-1 FC Twente

Waalwijk have little to play for in the final two matches of this season but will be a tough game for Twente if they continue to perform well at the Mandemakers Stadion.

The Tukkers will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in Eredivisie on Sunday, and we believe they will be good enough for at least a point in this one.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Sparta vs. Cambuur (Sunday, 1.30pm)

A general shot of a football from May 2022© Reuters

Sparta Rotterdam will be looking to bounce back from successive defeats when they welcome already-relegated Cambuur to Sparta-Stadion Het Kasteel on Sunday afternoon in the Eredivisie.

The hosts have struggled since securing their top-seven spot in the standings, whilst Cambuur have found the entirety of their campaign in the Dutch top flight extremely challenging.

We say: Sparta Rotterdam 3-0 Cambuur

Sparta have struggled in recent matches but have a massive opportunity to return to winning ways on Sunday against a Cambuur side who are enduring a terrible losing run.

Cambuur's season is effectively over and we cannot see them causing a shock in Rotterdam on Sunday - or even scoring a goal for that matter.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Vitesse vs. Groningen (Sunday, 1.30pm)

Vitesse requires just a single point to guarantee their safety, and that is something they will aim to pick up this Sunday when they host Groningen.

The visitors have already been relegated from the Eredivisie and are simply playing for pride at this point as the club begins to look toward next season.

We say: Vitesse 3-0 Groningen

Groningen have nothing to play for in this match and will likely be deflated after being relegated, which should lead to a routine victory for Vitesse.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.
