Scottish League One roundup: Dunfermline Athletic fall further behind Rangers

Dunfermline Athletic lose at home to Brechin City, while Rangers survive a scare to see off Arbroath.

Dunfermline Athletic lie 23 points behind Scottish League One leaders Rangers following their 3-2 defeat at Brechin City this afternoon.

The second-placed Pars squandered a two-goal lead at Glebe Park, going home empty-handed when Darren Petrie struck the decisive goal one minute from time.

Rangers suffered a scare at home to Arbroath, twice falling behind and needing a Lee McCulloch penalty late in the second period to see off their opponents 3-2.

Stenhousemuir against Ayr United finished 1-1, while Airdrieonians and Stranraer drew by the same scoreline.

East Fife defeated Forfar Athletic 2-1 in the division's remaining fixture, with Marc McKenzie and Stephen O'Neill on target for the hosts.
