England prop Andrew Sheridan will leave Sale Sharks in the summer to join French club Toulon.

England and Sale prop Andrew Sheridan has agreed to join French club Toulon in the summer.

The 32-year-old has not featured for the Sharks this season having returned from the World Cup with a shoulder injury.

"Sheri's going to move to Toulon this summer," Sale's director of sport Steve Diamond told the Manchester Evening News.

"He's been a loyal member of the club but he feels that he's best suited for the next two or three years to try his hand by playing over in France."

Sheridan joined Sale in 2003 from Bristol Shoguns.
