Wolverhampton Wanderers confirm 'ongoing talks' for Barry Douglas

Wolverhampton Wanderers announce that they have "agreed a deal in principle" to sign 27-year-old full-back Barry Douglas from Konyaspor.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced that they have "agreed a deal in principle" to sign Barry Douglas from Konyaspor, although "talks are ongoing" as the Championship side look to complete the deal.

On Thursday, it was claimed that Wolves had moved closer to bringing the 27-year-old to Molineux, with head coach Nuno Espirito Santo expected to remain busy approaching the start of the 2017-18 campaign.

Wolves' official Twitter account has revealed that the club have "agreed a deal" to sign Douglas from his Turkish club, although the transfer is currently subject to further talks.

"Wolves can confirm that they have agreed a deal in principle with Konyaspor for the signing of Barry Douglas. Talks ongoing to conclude deal," read a tweet on the English club's official account.

The Scottish left-back has been in Turkey for the last 18 months, while he also spent three years with Lech Poznan after spells with Queen's Park and Dundee United in Scottish football.

It has been suggested that Douglas will cost Wolves in the region of £1m.
