Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is reportedly set to miss Los Blancos' next two matches after coming into close contact with a COVID-positive individual.

Real Madrid may reportedly have to make do without manager Zinedine Zidane for their next two fixtures due to coronavirus concerns.

The former Galactico has overseen a significant upturn in form over the past couple of months, and the La Liga champions now sit two points behind current La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid, albeit having played two games more.

Los Blancos eased to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Celta Vigo in their most recent outing and will take on Osasuna on Saturday before next week's Super Cup semi-final clash with Athletic Bilbao.

However, La Sexta reports that Zidane has been identified as a close contact of someone who tested positive for COVID-19, and he could miss the next two games if he is forced to self-isolate.

The report adds that Zidane's recent antigen test came back negative, but the Frenchman must return two more negative results from PCR tests in the coming days before being cleared to return to the touchline.

Real Madrid have taken the spoils in seven of their last eight matches in all competitions, although Zidane's long-term future at the club remains shrouded in uncertainty.
