Half-Time Report: Gavin Reilly gives Queen of the South advantage over Raith Rovers

Queen of the South hold a slender advantage over Raith Rovers in their Scottish Championship clash at Palmerston Park.

Queen of the South hold a slender advantage over Raith Rovers in their Scottish Championship clash at Palmerston Park this afternoon.

The home side got off to the perfect start after Iain Russell scored his 13th of the season, tapping in following Mark Millar's corner.

Queen of the South continued to press but it was Raith's Lewis Vaughan who came close to equalising, with Alexander Clark saving his effort before Ryan Conroy's shot was blocked.

Vaughan levelled matters in the 20th minute after the ball fell to him in the penalty area, with claims for a Christian Nade handball in the build-up denied.

Six minutes before half time, Gavin Reilly gave Queen of the South the lead with a tap-in from close range.
