Neil Adams keen for patience at Norwich City

Norwich City Neil Adams admits that he is under pressure to keep his job at the club after their recent poor form in the Championship.

Norwich City manager Neil Adams has called for time as he tries to halt the club's fall down the Championship table.

The Canaries, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, set the pace during the early weeks of the campaign, but Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Reading extended their recent run to just one win in 10 games.

The 49-year-old told BBC Sport: "It's a tough time for us all - players, staff, supporters. We all want the best for this club. I hope I get the time. Of course it's a results business, we're well aware of that. You have to win games.

"You are going to be under pressure now because results are not in keeping with the size of the club and quality of the players we've got.

"The only thing we'll be focusing on is doing everything we can to change it. Promotion will always be the target. We're still capable of that."

Norwich, who now sit in 11th place, travel to Wigan Athletic on Saturday afternoon.
