Joel Matip, Naby Keita to miss Liverpool's clash with Manchester United?

Liverpool are expected to be without defender Joel Matip and midfielder Naby Keita for Sunday's Premier League meeting with Manchester United.

Joel Matip and Naby Keita reportedly remain major fitness doubts for Liverpool's huge Premier League clash with Manchester United this weekend.

The Reds take on their bitter rivals in a top-of-the-table showdown at Anfield on Sunday, aiming to bridge the three-point gap on the current pacesetters.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool could be missing a couple of important players as centre-back Matip and central midfielder Keita were absent from training on Wednesday.

Jurgen Klopp insists on his players having at least two training sessions under their belt before playing a match, meaning that a decision on the pair's availability could be made on Thursday.

Keita has not been involved for Liverpool since their 7-0 win over Crystal Palace prior to Christmas, while Matip has been out since the end of December with an adductor issue.
