Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips could be ruled out for up to two months due to injury, according to a report.

The 25-year-old limped off 10 minutes after half time in the 2-2 draw at home against Brentford on Sunday with a suspected hamstring injury.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Leeds now fear that Phillips could be sidelined until February, potentially missing up to nine matches across all competitions during the festive period.

The report adds that striker Patrick Bamford may be forced to return to the treatment table after pulling his hamstring while celebrating his 95th-minute equaliser against the Bees.

Bamford, 28, made his first appearance for Marcelo Bielsa's side in almost three months after recovering from an ankle injury, but is now a major doubt for this weekend's Premier League clash away against Chelsea.

In addition, club captain Liam Cooper will be assessed ahead of Leeds' trip to Stamford Bridge after the defender was substituted in the 14th minute against Brentford with a leg injury sustained while making a tackle.

One positive for Bielsa last weekend was the return of Luke Ayling, who played the full 90 minutes at Elland Road after missing the last 13 games across all competitions with a knee problem.
