Half-Time Report: Partick Thistle lead Inverness Caledonian Thistle

Half time at the Caledonian Stadium sees Partick Thistle lead Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1-0.

Partick Thistle lead Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1-0 at half time in today's Scottish Premiership clash.

The home side started the stronger of the two teams and attacked Partick's defence early on.

Partick began to pressure themselves and made an opening on six minutes, but the shot was blocked well by an organised defence.

Two minutes later, Inverness debutant Ben Greenhalgh came close to giving his side the lead, but could only hit the post with a volley from an acute angle.

The away side took the lead on 20 minutes through Kris Doolan, who latched onto James Craigen's cross to make it 1-0.

Inverness began to dominate possession after conceding, but struggled to find a way through Partick's deep defensive line.

Craigen had a huge chance to double Partick's lead on 32 minutes, but despite being in space on the edge of the box, he could only curl his effort over the bar.

Partick continued to trouble Inverness with their swift counter-attacks, with Stephen O'Donnell coming close with a 30-yard drive on 35 minutes.
