Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel wants to reunite with Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos at Stamford Bridge this summer, according to a report.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly keen to reunite with Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos at Stamford Bridge this summer.

The pair enjoyed a positive relationship at the Parc des Princes before Tuchel's sacking, and Marquinhos continues to don the captain's armband for PSG under the tutelage of Mauricio Pochettino.

Marquinhos opened the scoring in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Manchester City, but PSG would ultimately go on to lose 4-1 on aggregate to Pep Guardiola's men.

After welcoming his former mentor Thiago Silva to the club last summer, Sunday World reports that Chelsea are now intent on striking a deal for Marquinhos.

The report claims that Tuchel has informed the Chelsea board of his desire to sign the 26-year-old, but his PSG contract does not expire until 2024, meaning that it could take a bid of more than £70m to prise him away from the Parc des Princes.

Marquinhos has made 318 appearances for PSG since arriving from Roma in the summer of 2013, contributing 30 goals and winning six Ligue 1 titles in that time.
