Fulham complete the signing of Armando Broja on loan from West London rivals Chelsea for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.

Fulham have completed the signing of Armando Broja on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old will spend the remainder of the campaign at his parent club's West London rivals having put pen to paper on a short-term deal at Craven Cottage.

Broja's future was one of the main talks points on deadline day of the winter window, with Chelsea initially thought to be holding out for a £50m offer, but then softening their stance and making themselves open to loan deals.

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham were the front-runners for his signature, but Chelsea's loan fee demands are understood to have forced Wolves out of the running.

Fulham duly won the race for his signature, with the deal being confirmed more than 90 minutes after the deadline had passed.

The Cottagers are reported to have paid their neighbours a £4m loan fee, although some speculation has suggested that that fee could be waived if Broja makes 10 or more starts during his stay.

"It feels amazing. I'm really happy to be here and I can't wait to get started, meet the players and manager and play for the fans," Broja told the club's official website.

"The fans always play a big role and I can't wait to go to Craven Cottage and meet them all. I'm going to work hard for the team and create a real bond.

"I'm really honoured and excited to be here."

Tony Khan added: "I'm very excited that we've reached an agreement to bring Armando Broja to Fulham on loan until the end of the season.

"He's a young and talented striker who is happy and motivated to join our squad and to play for Marco [Silva] and his staff!"

Broja will wear the number nine shirt at Fulham and could make his debut in Saturday's Premier League clash with Burnley at Turf Moor.
