Casemiro is urging his Brazil teammate Neymar to join Real Madrid if he leaves Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Casemiro has encouraged Brazilian teammate Neymar to join Real Madrid in the current transfer window.

Despite recently expressing a desire to remain at Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar has been linked with a move away from the French club this summer.

There has been speculation that the French champions are looking to offload Neymar's £600,000 per week wages, with his current contract set to run until 2027 following an automatic two-year extension that was added to his deal at the start of July.

Chelsea have been credited with showing an interest in the 30-year-old, but Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro has sparked speculation about a possible move to the Spanish capital.

Speaking to SporTV's Circulo Grande programme, Casemiro said: "Neymar can play for any team in the world. If PSG don't want him, Real Madrid want him. Okay?"

Although Casemiro is keen for his international colleague to join him at the Santiago Bernabeu, Neymar may be reluctant to join Barcelona's rivals after spending four years with the Catalonian giants.

As it stands, Neymar is set to begin the season with PSG, who will be aiming for a successful season under new head coach Christophe Galtier.
