Willian reveals that he is feeling "alone" and has asked Chelsea for permission to return to Brazil to be close to his family amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Chelsea forward Willian has tried gaining permission from the club to return home to Brazil amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The Blues do not have another game scheduled until April 30 at the earliest due to the ongoing pandemic, which has claimed the lives of close to 12,000 people around the world.

Willian has been told to stay in London for now as Chelsea are concerned that he may not get the green light to fly back, but the 31-year-old is desperate to be close to his family.

"At the moment, I'm alone. My wife and daughters are in Brazil," he told Globo SporTV.

"I had made a schedule before that. They went first, I was going to have a break and I was going too. Now, I'm checking here, if I have authorisation from the club.

"We're deciding, they are about to come back here, but as there was a meeting and there was a definition here, they postponed the league until April 30th... With that fact, I'm trying to get permission from the club to be able to go.

"I explained the situation, I'm trying to get authorisation. I heard that players from other clubs are going to Brazil too, maybe being close to the family at this moment."

Meanwhile, Willian has vowed to complete the Premier League season at Chelsea, despite the fact that his contract expires in June.
