Celtic 'hold talks for Derby County left-back Max Lowe'

Celtic reportedly hold initial discussions with Derby County over a deal for defender Max Lowe.

Celtic are thought to have held initial talks with Derby County over a deal for young left-back Max Lowe.

The 22-year-old impressed out on loan with Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership last term and is also a renewed target for the Dons, who are keen to have him back for the 2019-20 campaign.

According to the Daily Record, Celtic have earmarked Lowe as a potential replacement for Kieran Tierney, who is wanted by Arsenal in a £20m deal.

The newspaper says that Neil Lennon's side have already been in touch with the Rams to ask about Lowe's availability "on a short-term or permanent basis".

Lowe signed a new deal with the Championship side last summer, keeping him under contract at Pride Park until 2021.
