Burnley boss Sean Dyche hints that it will be a quiet transfer window for his club in January, despite sitting in the relegation zone with only one win so far this term.

Sean Dyche has hinted that the January transfer window could be a quiet one for Burnley.

The Clarets have won only once and picked up just 11 points from their 15 Premier League games so far this season, leaving them in the relegation zone and two points adrift of safety.

However, Dyche has insisted that, while Burnley will keep an eye out for any opportunities to bolster their squad, they are unlikely to be able to make any big signings during the January window.

"If we can affect it [the January window], I think the ownership is looking to. It is not always about the money, you have got to get the agreement, get the club to agree, etc," Dyche told talkSPORT.

"So January's always a tough one. The new ownership have put a bit more in and they want to when they can, but we are not going to hit the big mark.

"We are not going to hit £20m-plus, we are still under that, which sounds mad, but that is the level that it is now."

The Clarets have 10 players running out of contract at the end of the season, including Ben Mee and James Tarkowski, who have both been linked with potential moves away from Turf Moor.

Burnley's next match comes against fellow strugglers Watford on Wednesday night.
