Brighton & Hove Albion and Peterborough United play out a goalless draw at London Road.

Brighton & Hove Albion have drawn their 18th Championship match of the season with a frustrating goalless result against Peterborough United at London Road this evening.

The visitors thought that they were ahead on 24 minutes when Matthew Upson thundered a brilliant header towards goal, but it hit the bar and bounced out, with appeals that the ball had crossed the line quickly turned away.

Posh also had encouraging moments early on, with Danny Swanson forcing Tomasz Kuszczak into a smart stop with a powerful half-volley from distance.

Dwight Gayle also had an effort from close range blocked by Dean Hammond but both sides ultimately were frustrated in their search for the opening goal before the break.

A tight second half saw both sides struggle to create chances, with Tommy Rowe spurning the best opportunity from close range after meeting a cross from Lee Tomlin.

Home fans were furious late on after late challenge from Andrew Crofts on Tomlin failed to see a free kick given to Posh.

Neither side could break the deadlock late on and had to settle for a point.
