Team News: Bournemouth make five changes

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe makes five changes to his team for their Premier League match with Sunderland at Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has made five changes to his team for this afternoon's Premier League match with Sunderland at Vitality Stadium.

In defence, Sylvain Distin and Charlie Daniels return in place of the injured Tommy Elphick and Adam Smith as Howe looks to shake up his side after the 3-1 away defeat to fellow promoted side Norwich City last weekend.

Dan Gosling and Marc replace Junior Stanislas and Eunan O'Kane in midfield, while Lee Tomlin is brought in to partner top scorer Callum Wilson in attack, with Glenn Murray still only granted a place on the bench.

For Sunderland, Sebastian Coates replaces the ill John O'Shea in Dick Advocaat's only change to the side that lost 1-0 at home to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

DeAndre Yedlin could make his Black Cats debut from the bench, where he is joined by the returning Steven Fletcher and Adam Johnson.

Bournemouth: Boruc; Francis, Cook, Distin, Daniels; Ritchie, Surman, Gosling, Pugh; Tomlin, Wilson
Subs: Federici, Smith, Bennett, O'Kane, Stanislas, Murray, Kermorgant

Sunderland: Pantilimon; Jones, Kaboul, Coates, van Aanholt; M'Vila, Gomez, Toivonen, Lens; Borini, Defoe
Subs: Mannone, Cattermole, Larsson, Rodwell, Johnson, Yedlin, Fletcher
