Report: Panathinaikos eye Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini

A report claims that Greek giants Panathinaikos want to sign Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini at the end of the season.

Greek giants Panathinaikos are reportedly preparing a summer move for Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini.

The experienced Frenchman, who is currently in his second spell with the Gunners, will be out of contract at the Emirates this summer.

It is unlikely that the 32-year-old will pen a fresh contract with the London club and according to The Sun, Panathinaikos want to tempt the former AC Milan midfielder to Greece.

Three-time French international Flamini has made 24 appearances for Arsenal this season.

Meanwhile, Panathinaikos are currently battling AEK Athens for second spot in their domestic table.
