Arsenal are reportedly prepared to spend as much as £250m on five new players during this summer's transfer window.

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to spend as much as £250m during this summer's transfer window, as the North London club look to pull themselves back into top-four contention.

The Gunners struggled during the 2020-21 Premier League campaign, finishing down in eighth spot in the table, but head coach Mikel Arteta is still thought to have the full support of the board.

Arsenal have been linked with a number of signings in recent weeks, and according to 90min, the capital giants are prepared to spend big in the current market in the hope of returning to former glories.

The report claims that the club are willing to part with as much as £250m, with a new goalkeeper, central defender, full-back and two central midfielders wanted as part of the rebuild.

Sheffield United stopper Aaron Ramsdale, Brighton & Hove Albion pair Yves Bissouma and Ben White, Norwich City's Max Aarons, Anderlecht's Albert Sambi Lokonga and Leicester City's James Maddison are all rumoured to be targets ahead of next season.

Arsenal are also seemingly planning to raise additional funds by selling unwanted players, with Granit Xhaka believed to be on the verge of leaving the Emirates Stadium.
