AC Milan are reportedly targeting a move for Arsenal centre-back William Saliba, who is yet to make a senior appearance for the club after being sent on loan three times.

AC Milan have reportedly set their sights on signing Arsenal defender William Saliba, who has spent this season on loan at Marseille.

The 21-year-old arrived at the Emirates from Saint-Etienne in 2019, but was immediately loaned back to the French outfit for that upcoming season, and since then has returned to his homeland twice on loan to Nice and Marseille.

This year, Saliba has established himself with Jorge Sampaoli's side, having played 51 games for Marseille across all competitions, helping the side to second place currently in Ligue 1.

According to The Mirror, Serie A giants AC Milan are prepared to try their luck with the Gunners, to see whether they will allow the young centre-back to move to Italy this summer, on loan or on a permanent basis.

Fikayo Tomori has solidified himself as one of the main central defenders in the heart of Stefano Pioli's side, but with Alessio Romagnoli's future unclear and Simon Kjaer continuing to recover from a knee injury, the Rossoneri are prioritising finding reinforcements in defence.

Saliba is yet to make a senior appearance for Arsenal, having only featured for their youth side since joining the club three years ago.
